About Cheryl Parrish:

Certified by the state of California as a Certified Shorthand Reporter, Cheryl Parrish is the cornerstone of Parrish Reporting. A fearless and dedicated entrepreneur, Parrish has shown by her life’s accomplishments that she has the tenacity to get the job done,
and done correctly.

Currently an extreme mountain biker with many wins to her name, Parrish has twice beaten cancer. She is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society, participates in road races to raise money for cancer research and in the 1990s established the Walking Fish Society,
a support group for 18-40 year old people living with cancer. 

In Cheryl Parrish’s words, “The Walking Fish Society was created to give those living with cancer a life. People think fish don’t walk, and they think people with cancer don’t live.  I’m a breast cancer survivor since 1988. And, in 1995, perhaps as a result of the chemo for the breast cancer, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. At that time they gave me 6 months to live.  3 years of chemo and 2 bone marrow transplants later I am not only living, but thriving. Today, I race mountain bikes and I tell my oncologist that he should just prescribe mountain bikes.  That serenity, that peace, that adrenaline, and that positive attitude from accomplishing a good ride goes hand in hand with the gratitude of getting up in the day and being grateful for your life and everything you have.”
